Lord of The Flies Blog Post # 3

"This is a good island." - Ralph

This phrase there can be many meanings/ interpretations of "good". One thing that it could mean is that the island has a lot of supplies. It's easy to survive on it, because it has many things on it such as food and water. The islands water supply is the lagoon for bathing and the rain. There is a lot of food on the island too, there are fruits and even pigs that could be hunted and cooked. Another reason why it might be a "good" island is because, there are a lot of trees and it has a mountain which is used to make the fire signal.
Lord of The Flies Blog Post #2

"There aren't any grownups; we'll have to take care of ourselves."
             -Ralph

In the book the Lord of The Flies there are a group of boys that were in a plane, that crashed into an island. Now they are alone with no grownups to supervise them, and must take care of themselves. My prediction is that many things are going to do things that aren't smart in this story and that the kids might die or get injured, because of the fact that they are kids, that don't know any better. They will have trouble finding shelter and food, and some kids won't care at all, about their situation to help in finding shelter and food. Another thing that many of the older ones will have to deal with is taking care of the younger kids. Many of the older kids will most likely be doing all the work for the group by gathering food and making shelter. After a while I predict that some of the older kids will get frustrated at others and conflicts will emerge.
