Unreliable Narrator

Indirect Characterization: 

"I don’t know but they did it. They've done it before and they did it tonight and they’ll do it again and when they do it, it seems like only children cry."

This example supports the theme but, Jem has his mind in the right place and thinks that blacks and whites should get the same treatment.

This example supports the theme because, The jury is under pressure from the white residents of Maycomb to vote against the black man. 

This example supports the theme so the Jury is no longer innocent by doing the wrong thing. 

Unreliable Narrator: 

"Bet they woman drinks a pint for breakfast every morning- know she drinks two glasses full"

This example supports the theme but, it is an exaggeration.

This example supports the theme because, the kids are being mean and making stuff up about others.

This example supports theme so the children lose their innocence. 

Figurative meaning: 

"Every one of them ought-a be riding broomsticks. Aunt Rachel already does.”

This example supports the theme but, dill shouldn't be talking about people behind their backs.

This example supports the theme because, they are always trying to catch someone do wrong.

This example supports the theme so is pushing the children to lose their innocence.
